Post What about Pace Setter headers?

I have searched everywhere, but can't locate difinitive info on the Armor Coat Ceramic-Metallic-Coated Shorty Headers.
They fit the Lightning and 5.4 motors, 3/8 " flange, 16 GA , 1 1/2 inch tubes and are 50 state legal. And $279. I have heard that the 1 1/2 tubes are better for low end torque. These are unequal headers also.

Any experience, comments, pros or cons?

UPDATE>>>>>>>>>>HERE IS THE INFO ON THE HEADERS

ARMOR*COAT OR BLACK SHORTY HEADER KIT
Legal in 50 states
Replaces exhaust manifold perfectly and retains all emission fittings—no modifications!
For Chevrolet, Ford, Dodge and GMC Trucks
Dramatically reduces engine back pressure caused by power-robbing exhaust manifold. Lets engine "breathe" better to increase horsepower and improve gas mileage. CARB EO #D439 approved for Chevy and GMC trucks; D-439-1 and D-439-3 approved for Dodge and Ford trucks. Headers feature 3/8" thick flanges and 16-gauge 1-1/2" mandrel-bent primary tubing. Kit includes 2 headers, gaskets, header bolts and instructions. Note: Stock numbers ending in "F" are shipped directly from manufacturer. UPS next day or second day are not available for these items. Allow 3 to 4 weeks for delivery.
Armor*Coat, a space-age metallic-ceramic coating, is applied to each header forming a near metal-to-metal bond which lasts longer than almost any other coating. Super resistant to chipping, peeling, rust and corrosion. Easy to clean. Won't discolor. Enhances header's appearance. Reduces under-hood temperatures for greater engine efficiency.

I think I am going to order a set!!!!

NOW Take another 15% off the 279 price!

Anybody know what kind of performance to expect out of them. For around $279 coated, you can't beat it. Thanks

That price is for the pair and includes hardware and gaskets. We need to find someone who has installed them and see how the fit is.

Thanks

Hey all, installed a set of the plain uncoated ones on my L, (will get them coated this winter) cost was only 149 something. Install was pretty easy, remove front tires, wheelwells, and install. Only problem I had, was the flanges at the head were not milled straight, took them to a machine shop and had them leveled out. Otherwise they seem to be doing fine, and you can't beat the price!!! JC Whitney has them. Same price as above. I've got a catalog that has a 15% off coupon. Doesn't sound like to bad a deal.

I love my JBAs, but they were pretty expensive. Didn't get a baseline dyno, so I have no way of knowing how much, if any, the h.p. gain was. Suspect it was not much, but glad to get rid of the ugly black caterpillers, sometimes aesthetics are as important as functionality.

i just put a set of Gibson headers on mine.

Not coated or anything but the went in nicely. Little more rumble at idle and a noticeble bump on the bottom end.

I got a killer deal on them but regular retail is a bit more that what you are talking $450 at your door for stainless steel.

These are the JC Whitney prices and information from catalog 641J-08. Mention discount code AJGN641, (15%).

The part Number for the headers are 07PA5904A, page 55, Armor Coat Headers, price 279.95 - 15% = about 238 + shipping. You need these numbers when you order online and you must request the discount, expect 3-4 week delivery time.
