Need to remount hood scoop

I need to remount my hood scoop. Starts to lift up between 85-100mph. It is off of a mustang. Any advice on the best way to mount it. It does have 2small bolts through the hood to hold it on. I think the rest is just double stick tape or something. What would be best? Some 3m double stick or something else?
Thanks!!!

If you want it to stay I'd put something stronger on it. I used GOOP plummers glue on my hood snout pieces.

HI!... I sold over 100 MUSTANG GT hood scoop kits for F-150's a few years back. The best way to mount them is with supplied screws and WINDSHIELD URETHANE. Also it really helps if you cut open the hood under the scoop to allow the incoming rush of air to go somewhere.

Halflife,

I really like that scoop on your hood - great idea! Where did you get it?

HI!... I just used a jigsaw with a fine metal blade. The hood is made from aluminum so it won't rust and is easy to cut. I masked off the painted surface so that the bottom of the jigsaw wouldn't scratch the paint. The pattern to cut out under the hood scoop is already there on the under side of the factory hood. When I had that hood on my truck I also filled in between the two sides of the hood with WINDSHIELD URETHANE.

Mines a similar scoop but has 4 bolts that hold it one. I also cut the back of the scoop out which stopped the scoop from lifting.

it would probably help keep the blower cool if you cut out the hood...

Kinda like this? More of a heat extractor.
