Question SVT Tailgate Emblem on Fenders??

My dad recently purchased a new L (jealous) and we were looking it over and I suggested that he buy two more "SVT F-150" emblems like on the tailgate to put on the fenders instead of those corny "lightning" emblems. Does anyone know if the holes in the fenders are the same as the ones on the tailgate? Sorry if this has already been asked, but I don't check out the lightning section much...

Thanks,
Chris

MX,

How bout cutting the F-150 off the tailgate emblem and sticking a corny Lightning logo under the SVT?

Big design flub IMHO.

Cool

Sorry, dont take the "corny lightning emblem" part of my post as offensive. I mean we are talking about, in my opinion, the baddest truck from any manufacturer EVER built here, and I just thought that they could have done better than "lightning" with a little lightning bolt below it, see my point? No offense to you L owners, because I am way jealous of you guys, I was just trying to fix something that I thought took away from the looks of the truck...

MX,

no offense taken.

I bought a windshield header sticker for my L and it read "SVT F-150 Lightning" I cut out the "F-150 part and it looks much better without it. My comment was based on trying to keep my truck as consistant with labeling/badges as possible.

One thought would be to remove the Lightning badge and simply put on an SVT badge in it's place. If the soon-to-be-spanked driver can't figure out what it is, he'll soon find out.

So, has he put the keys in a vault or let you take her for a spin...um...drive....er....you know what I mean.

Peace,

I agree, I think the "Lightning" Fender emblems are hokey and cartoon-ish. I don't mind it saying Lightning, but would like something a little more serious and tasteful, or, nothing at all. I've never been a big fan of excessive badging, when I ordered my Saleen I asked them respectfully to leave the "SALEEN" off of my windshield.

Those plastic lightning emblems might look cheap, put some punk stole them off my truck. They cost me $16.30 a piece and they scrathed both fenders when they stole them, doing $400.00 worth of damage. All for two corny emblems.

Thanks for all the responses! Speedin bob---Yea, I agree, just an svt badge would look great too! now that I think about it, the "SVT" badge on the back of the mustang cobra's would look pretty sweet on a L! As for a test drive, my dad came down to see my wife and I, and I was lucky enough to get to take a quick spin in it! Unfortunately, he was in the passenger side the whole time so I didn't really get to see what it's made of! But regardless, you know it's one bad truck! Especially when compared to my V6 Yet another thing to add to my wish list!!
