You may have a bad chip. Take it out and see how your truck runs. If it's ok w/o the chip; guess what! Also, when you remove the chip, notice if it's not fully seated in the PCM. You may have not gotten all that crap off the connector on the PCM. That's a possiblity too.

Did you straighten out the metal bracket on the passenger wall side of the computer when you put your chip in? If not this bracket wedges itself under your Superchip and will temporarly disconnect the chip long enough to kill your engine. This will happen even if you have duct taped your chip in place. If you haven't done it already, pull the computer back out, remove the bracket(2 screws), straighten it where it rides up against the chip, a vise works good for this, reassemble, and chances are your problems are solved. Many of us on the board had this problem on first installtion of the SuperChip. SHM & Inject-Tech are similiar in design and the same potential problem exists with them. Don't know about Sal's 4-way or others currently available.

Good Luck

I had the "exact" same story last year, same symptoms. i put pressure on the duct taped chip and was able to get home. then re-cleaned contacts and re-taped with a cardboard gasket to keep the "superchip" perfectly even with the contacts, otherwise it can swivel and work its way loose. no problems after that.
