My dealer who sold me mine said they were "hopeful" that the 2001's would arrive by Christmas (my friend wants to order one).

October is optimistic but who knows?

What04 is correct. It will be worth the wait.

Thats what I thought. The SVTs are usually later than regular production. Looking forward to a good pic of the new wheels and finding out if there will be any new colors.

For what it's worth, the first production run of the transmissions is scheduled in November, so it won't be before then. The transmissions are ussually built a day or two before the trucks, but on the first run it could be weeks, who knows.

According to the Ford order book my salesman had, the colors for 01 are the same as 00. Price was unknown, but there's another post out there about www.fordfleet.com and that site has a list of $31,995 with the destination charge. You should probably check that site out as there are some other details worth looking at.

Where did you order your 2001? I went to Nichols Ford in Fort Worth (off of I20) and they wouldn't let me pre-order. They siad the best they could do was take my name and number and contact me when one came in. They wouldn't take a deposit or anything. They said it's a first come, first serve thing with Ls. This has me a little worried so I also went to fordfleet.com and placed an order there. any input would be appreciated.
