I'm meeting a couple of R/Ts at the Denton track this Friday if anyone wants to join.

It'll be my first look at a 13-second R/T (Yes, in the 1/4 for you wise guys). Could be very interesting. I'm hoping for a mature adult-type meeting as opposed to the standard "Oh yeah, well if I spent as much money on my R/T as you did on your Lightning, I would kick your a$$" exchange. Doug, Autothrottle, Moonshine, etc... fun time guaranteed. Remember Doug, the first person to the finish line doesn't get gravel thrown on them. They also race 9-second brackets on Friday night.

BTW, I think Autothrottle posted that he's got the dreaded intercooler leak, so I doubt he'll make it.

go-rila spit can cause some poor 60's. i'd check that "gravel" too (DON'T TOUCH IT!), cause go-rilas have been known to toss some pretty vile sh*t, in your general direction.

 

Ya i've got the leak. she go's in next week to see the doc. this is for the temp. fix as they call it, for both clunk and leak.
I may come out there but i don't know if i'll run.

There is a red r/t in Denton that is supercharged,geared and seems to have a strong exhaust note. Couldn't get him to get into it but seemed pretty strong.

 

Anyone else going to Denton Friday ??

Go_Rila wanted to give you a chance to get used to the new perspective of my truck you will be seeing Friday. After the finish line it will be accompanied by the sound of gravel bouncing off your truck.

Exit and stay on North bound service road about 1 mile
Service road U-turns back underneath interstate
Turn Right at the first road and the Dragway is on the Right

I had referred to this track as Kennedale in the past and am hereby making my apologies.... Texas Dragway is in Kennedale and is a different track in a different part of the Metroplex
