Look at the end of the F Stock classification.
I cant find my rule book but think it says something to the affect of "and all other V8 vehicles not listed above". This "should" cover our Lightnings.

Except when a paranoid guy in the registration shack worries about the Supercharger and puts you in SSP Street prepared. According to http://www.moutons.org/sccasolo/stockc.html We would fit in H stock
all RWD Pick-up trucks Not Otherwise Classified
although I have never seen anyone else run in H stock. Also there are these exceptions
The following makes/models are not eligible for Stock Category:
BMW M3 Lightweight,
Calloway Corvette,
Mustang Cobra R,
Dodge Viper,
Firebird Firehawk,
Porsche 911 Turbo AWD,
BMW Z8,
Oldsmobile 442 HO W-42 (Sports package option).
There are many others here with more x cross experience than me... Hopefully they will offer thier opinions.

I got the link from www.autocross.com/er

The lightning is in F stock, but the techs have try to put me Street perpared more than once. In metro Detroit, we have over 200 cars show up for all SCCA Solo worth going to, so I have yet to run the truck in SCCA. I do run the truck in the DSCC Champ series, which runs about every other weekend, and has about 120 cars per event. I run in the stock, street tire F class, TFS.

Because of my mods they put me in ESP ST (Street Tire). Dunno if that's consistent with other parts of the country tho...

Stock L's should be Fstock. The list says V8 Pickups under the F stock catagory. If you mod beyond the stock limitations, then you will be move accordingly.

They see that big eaton on top of the engine and don't know what to do... That can't be stock, but it looks stock, I don't know, SSP for you... I've solved this problem by keep a Lightning sale brochure in the truck.

I've run in two different SCCA Solo events. The first classified me as F Stock, the second as ESP (street prepared) because I was running non-stock tires.

I run frequently in F-stock, although there are some guys (*chevy* , cough, HAck, camaro -wheeze *--) who really object to blown vehicle in stock. Still, the rules guys dont seem to have a problem with it since that _IS_ what the rulez say...

I have also found myself in ESP on occasion when someone with a good eye spots my headers.

The real question is what do you tires look like after the autocross. I've had some blistering and some bad chunking.
I try to run the at least the first two hot. That really kills the tires and brakes...

The goodyears chunk badly. In fact, I wouldnt run them in an autocross situation. Either get a set of dedicated race tires (hello ESP) or get better street tires.

re: Tire chunking; I run 50psi and toss it around like a gokart. No rollover whatsoever.

Tire Chunking: Look at you treads, you will see chunks gone, not a smooth "powder-off".

For best handling I've found these pressure work best on the F1s:
Front: 42-43 psi
Rears: 34-36 psi

Exclamation

Also a tip: check tire pressure after each run. What is 34psi at the start of the day isnt going to be 34 psi after a few hot laps...

Question

Tell me more. I know nada about autocross. Where do they hold races in So. Calif? What do they cost to enter? What class would they put me in with my mods (4.10, chip, MAF, headers)? What kind of safety mods are required (5point belts, driveshaft loop, etc)? What wheels and tires would work best? More, more, more.
