cam shafts
cam shafts
I'm of the old school.
I own and built 429 engines. now I know you can change a camshaft and valve train on a stock engine and gain substantial hp and tq,
but will the same apply to our engines, say stage one, two, or three, without headers, programs ect...

Yes, but with the higher stages you'll need a tune to make it run smoother ang gain full potential. There are a few guys with cams on stock motors and they saw a good improvement. Danoid (on nloc) did Comp cams (more like a stage 2.5) with a 6lb lower and saw a 60+rwhp gain if I do remember correctly. I'm thinking of doing something similar in the future.
