Trial an error, ease into it and then hammer... I don't look at my RPM's I just listen to the tires for when they stop squealing and then hammer..

Interesting user name considering what you're asking.

Anyways, it just takes practice. EASE into it and you'll be fine. Wheel spin is your enemy. A pair of Nitto DR will help. Good luck, and most of all be careful on the street.

at stock power you can buy a set of nitto dr's and about stomp it from a stop. otherwise just practice and see what your truck can put down how quick

ON stock tires, trial and error, as people stated. But I am one of the "believers" in the Nitto DR's!!!! Even with 460hp, as long as I rolled in to it smooth, I could launch very hard on the street. I'm over 500hp now, and its harder, but can still launch hard. The DR's wear quicker, but they remain sticky throughout thier life, while the factory goodyear rubber seems to get hard after some miles, and just spins. I would find a vacant area, and practice your street launch to learn how hard you can leave the line without spinning. And FWIW...as long as you keep even moderate traction, the only hemi you'll see will be in your rear view!!!

They are the chrome Ford Racing '99-00 style SVT wheels on the stock F1's. I now have the '03-04 style on the same tires. If your interested I'm looking to sell my '99-00 style.

I usually use the gas pedal to get the truck moving.
