Talking F150 Rally....RaceDay :)

Everyone,

I just rolled in from the F150 Rally 'Race Day' at VA Motorsports Park (1/4). It was alot of fun. I think the 3 of the 4 L's(Me included) had never run before at all.

The general times were:

13.5 and greater.

I ran twice, times were:

13.976 @ 99.57 2.167 60'
13.766 @ 99.59 2.049 60'

My RT's left a lot to be desired, but hey...thats what practice is for. I think with an even better 60' and some more practice launching, 13.5's are well within reach.

Weather was in the 80's, but it felt like the humidity was creeping up....

I was very happy to see all the L's turning times better than LT-1's and 5.0's.

I give all the L owners that participated a big thumbs up.

I also give a big thanks to Mike Troyer for setting this up. Also, thanks for the TRAC program update...

I have some race pics, pit pics and pics of JAG's bed cover to post. Let me download from camera and upload and I will post later today.

Again, Kudos to all, and thanks for the good time!!!

Let's do it again in Sept....Im Serious.....

Hey Brian, you got home as fast as I did.

I made two runs.
16.289 @ 83.99 2.431 60'
16.139 @ 83.97 2.338 60'

I have that Red Lightning from Ann Arbor MI on my slip also, he's got:
13.399 @ 101.87 1.930 60'

ATST ran, also Yankee4x4, Lew B, and Mike T ran his Mark VIII.

(It would not be prudent of me to say who won the blanket of Raoul)
Pics will tell it all!

I had a Great Time!

Hey guys, just wanted to say it was great finally meeting some other L owners. Had a blast at the track except for the last run!!!

Brian, Can't wait to see the pictures. Good thing you left when you did. For some reason they made Shorty and I wait for an additional 20-25 minutes before they let us run again. Then, the pro street guys that ran in front of us must have left some gas/oil on the track because they had us wait again until they clean it up with what must have been water. LEARNED A VAILUBLE LESSON, NEVER LAUNCH HARD RIGHT AFTER THEY CLEAN THE TRACK!!!! I spun for about 40 ft until I started to fishtail, going toward the wall so I quickly shut it down.

Hopefully we can all get together when the whether gets a little cooler. Can't wait to test out my new 4.10's. Should be putting them in this week.

Nice to meet ya Mike, even though I am a PSP team member!!! Hee,hee. Appreciate you putting together the whole F150 day. Jeff
