New Member........
Posted my first message in response to Bill Murray's GNX topic this evening, and it occured to me that I should say hello and introduce myself to the rest of you.
As you can see by my sig, I like lots of different cars including the Lightning. I have been lurking on the forum for the last six months and have learned a great deal from all of you. I ordered my Lightning from my dealer last December and it finally got here in June..... What a long wait!
The truck is great. My wife drives it most of the time and just loves it. I really wanted it for myself, but told her I bought it for her (because I felt guilty that I have all these toys) and, go figure, she thought I was serious and now thinks of it as her truck.
In any event, glad to be here with all of you and I look forward to contributing to the forum.

Bill:
Welcome aboard.
Your stable is probably the envy of most of us (I myself have done the Harley thing and earlier versions of what you now own for example).
Over time, we can perhaps develop a dialogue regarding the GN/GNX story vis a vis the Lightning.
Wonder what a 20/30 PSI boost turbo might get us on a 5.4 Triton Lightning engine?
Don't think I really want to go there, got enough problems trying to get my Moby to a certain level.

Bill Murray, Thanks for the welcome. Would enjoy sharing information. Wouldn't it be great to run 18 pounds of boost in the L.
2fords, Thanks! I spend a lot of time washing and detailing the toys...
'00BlackLightning, Only have 450 miles on the L so far, so I haven't been able to get on it yet to do a comparison with the SS. The SS will do 13.6 1/4 mile at this time and has about 2000 miles on it. I look forward to running the L at the track after it is broken in. My gut feel so far is that, from a standing launch, the L will be very competitive with the SS.
FORDSALES: Thanks.

GNX Welcome!!!!!
I haven't been able to get that car out of my head since I read the post earlier this morning. Wish I could find one for my Daddy. He would LOVE it. And I would take it over on the weekends.

Welcome GNX: Nice toys you have to play with. But as a fellow board member, I hate to see you get in trouble. Make sure you ask "the owner", before you take the Lightning to the track. HaHa
GNX,
Yep, welcome from me too ..... a great vehicle you have and you'll find this is a great site.
I am not a Lightning owner ...... would just get me arrested but you can see there is a LOT of potential with these trucks and some of the guys here are getting a lot out of them. Good luck with yours.
I know the old Buick turbos well ....

franks&beans: I'll be at SEMA too. I'll look for your post on where everyone will get together.
Christy Ann: If you ever decide you really want to buy a GN (for you and Dad), a really good low mileage car goes for $12,000-17,000 depending on mileage and care of the car. Many look brand new and even smell new inside. Pretty amazing on a 13 year old car..... They come with all the luxury items, power everything and are wicked fast. When you need help locating one, drop me an email.

ZorPrime,
Thanks for the welcome. I have that photo in my mind too! Unlike most GNX's, that are owned by collectors, I drive mine to the track and race it now and then.
But seeing the L and the GNX and the SS all in the driveway at the same time is quite a site. At least it is for a car guy/gal.
Regards,
Bill
