THROTTLE BODY OR PRO-M?
I got my filter kit in from SAL a few weeks past and I have been trying to decide on where to invest money next. I have not installed the filter kit yet. I have read some good info on the throttle body and the pro-m MAF. I want both but I do not know if the pocket will spring for both at once. Hopefully Babolt will get me a throttle body that is any easy bolt on. Back to the question where is the best place to start, MAF or throttle body. The throttle body comes with a filter and if works well I may sale SAL's kit.
By the way on the chip, I was ready to buy an Inject tech but I can not get them to call me. I may just wait for the chip test's and then decide on a chip.
Your insight is greatly appreciated!

The best bang for the buck may be the Pro-M. You can see anywhere from 9 to 15 horsepower from it. Another thing is if you have a chip, the transfer function from the Pro-M can be incorporated into the fuel table. The throttle body will cost more than the Pro-M and will not give you the same amount of HP gain. Hang in there on the chip. If you get a properly calibrated chip the Pro-M will work wonders. The throttle body can wait though the dyno test shows an increase the drag strip is the real proving grounds and the ET / MPH don't lie.

Give Superchips a call. I just had mine installed with their new program. There have been alot of posts on which chip to get, and I think both Inject-tech and Superchips are looking like the strongest. My truck is a completely different animal with the chip. If you thought the L was satisfying stock, stomp on it once you're chipped and enjoy.

Collins8,
Wait on buying the chip, if you get the pro-m you will have to get it recalibrated. I just installed a pro-m with a Swansons chip on my 2000 and it seems to be a good setup. I don't think it is as fast as my 99 with psp filter/chip and full bassani exhaust though. We'll find out going to the track for the first time with the 2000 tomorrow.
