I've run Vortech blowers for years. There are other quality ones out there as well (Paxton NOVI comes to mind), but when I had my '94 L, I put a simple 8psi Vortech A-trim on it. Went from 15.2/88mph to 13.4/102mph with just the blower and shorty headers.

This is with stock tires.

The install is not difficult, either. I found it easier than the installation on a Mustang.

Cobra 99,

Stock GT-40 heads, intake, and stock exhaust too? 11.2x on slicks? Wow. That's nearly 600rwhp out of a heavy truck.

Please tell me you had some aftermarket heads, etc on that truck. Oops...didn't see "lots of goodies". That probably explains it a bit better.

Sounds like an awesome truck.

Cobra 99,
Very impressive stats for your L1! I have a similar setup that I haven't taken to the track yet. I'd be quite interested in the parts you still have. Give me a shout at GSloan99@mindspring.com

Thanks

I don't know a whole lot about Gen 1 chargers, but I have seen that Vortech came out with a "Superquiet" for your truck.

I don't know if you've seen it or not, but check out www.nloc.org It is the best info source for Gen 1 L's. Most of the guys over here have Gen 2's.

Good luck with the S/C!
