spark plugs
has anybody changed there spark plugs,and if so were they gapped properly from the factory?what plug have other L owners tried and liked? it looks a little more time consuming to change these plugs[coils fuel rails ect]so i wan't to do it right the first time.thanks

Best move you will ever make with your "L". Every new car I have ever purchased had the wrong plug gaps, and timing. First thing I did was check the plugs and 6 out of 8 were wrong, two were loose, and one was closed completely as if it had been dropped or something. Pull'em, gap'em, and return them back into the same hole you got them out of. You won't be sorry you did, and the time is worth just knowing what they were set on. I call it "knowledge" some call it peace of mind.

Andre, if you don't tell em where the other 2 go, i will. we use the other 2 in the exhaust tips. it's great for clearing brush, heating up cold fries, intimidating the guy lined up next to you in the right lane, etc:

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THAT IDEA? I WAS WANTING TO SEE THAT. COULDN'T BE ANY WORSE THAN THE TIRE WET STAINS THAT HAVE BROWN SPOTTED MY GROUNEFFECTS UP. I'VE HAD THEM PAINTED ONCE AND FOUND OUT AFTER THE SECOND SET GOT STAINED THAT THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. I DON'T KNOW IF THEY WILL WARRENTY THE NEXT REPLACE AND PAINT OR NOT. I'VE SWITCHED TO ENDURANCE BY MEQUIRES AND HAVEN'T NOTICED ANY MORE.
