Trailering my camaro

Thinking of trailering my camaro to get it dyno tuned. How safe is this with a lightning? I have pulled my jet ski and lawn mower and you don't even know they are back there but we are talking about a 3500 pound car plus trailer. I know these trucks are rated at 5000 pounds but just wondering how safe it is because mine is lowered. Probably 2 or 3 in the back and 1 in the front. Will I be ok or run in to trouble?

First, you should be killed slowly for even owning a Camaro.

Kidding aside, the tow rating on our L's is fine for what you're planning on doing.

He he, sorry for the camaro part. I have had it for a while, it's a ls1 and I have put a cam and several other things to it. It's up for sale if it makes you feel better! But I need to get it tuned for the buyer (who ever that might be) and you are sure since it's lowered it will be fine?

Well, I'm not sure about the lowered part. I have an '04, which as you know sits like a 4x4 in the rear anyway. You should hook up the trailer and car, and check to see if the suspension has enough travel. Otherwise, call in a favor from a buddy with a different truck.

Good luck!

Do you have traction bars>??? If you do I think the front brackets will be sitting on the ground when you hook up the trailer.
What did you use for lowering>??? I would just check all you clearances once you hook up and keep a good eye on tonque weight! -Mat-

LOL, well I'm not dissing my own truck but yea my car would smoke my truck. I have done a lot of work to my car though. I'm hoping to dyno about 375 to the ground. I bought the truck lowered and I don't know what they used to lower it. I am assuming springs in front shackles in back and no I don't think I have traction bars. I have a buddy with a supercrew 4x4 so I may just borrow it for about 8 hours and not take any chances with the truck. Dude I love your car. I saw a new gt in that orange color at the local dealer and fell in love with it!! I would love to own a cobra though!!
