I want a 2000 Silver Lightning but can't afford to spend 31K. I could afford the 27K. What are my chances of getting a 2000 Silver Lightning for invoice of on the A plan in New England? If I have to travel a little bit further then New England I will.

On my way back from a camping trip in Maine, there was a dealer who had a silver lightning out front discounted to like $27,900. They were also willing to A-Plan. I believe the dealer was in Massachusets. I looked around here quickly for their buisiness card but couldnt find it. Your best bet would be to just go down the list of SVT dealers on Ford's site.

 

How does one go about getting A-plan papers? Do you have to know someone at Ford?

SVT_98_COBRA where is Norwalk? Is that in MASS or a different state? Do you know the name of the dealership?

95 Saleen S351 do have a general idea where that dealership was located?

Start contacting the fleet manager of all the SVT dealers in your area and ask. Can't hurt!

Can you get A-Plan papers? If so, go to the Ford site and get a list of the SVT dealers in your area. Contact them and see who will deal a Lightning at A-Plan. There are several dealers in the Detroit area that will. Do a search. This topic was discussed a month or so back.

 

I just saw a silver 00 A-plan L at Norwalk last night. I would think you should be in luck.

If you have to ask.....

A-Plan is for Ford employees, and as far as the UAW covered employees go, abusing A-Plan is one the few things that can get you fired, so unless your brother mother or father works for Ford, you more than likely won't get an A Plan. Now, if you know a slaried person they can give away an X-Plan which is almost as good, but they only get one per year to give away I think. Also, certain suppliers and there employees can get X-Plan.

I did not know what the A-plan was. I don't want to get anyone in trouble. I do have a friend that works at a Ford dealership but it is not an SVT dealership. Would he be able to set me up with the X-plan at an SVT dealership? Or can he only use the X-plan at his dealership?

Company and Ford Motor Credit Company
employees only!! unfortunately. It can
not be used by any dealership employees.
I am a Ford dealership employee who sells SVTs and I cannot get the A-plan so your friend will not be able to help you. Also the X-plan is offered to some companies but if your employer is offered this you would probably know it by now. Sorry I could't pass along better news
