Chip wars: Part?? -Jeff or Trace-
For now, the details are still being sorted out. I can promise it's going to be very interesting and I can't wait to start the testing!
We have had some great interest expressed from the chip manufacturers. They began stepping up to the plate when this was still in the 'rumor' stages.
That's about all I can tell you at this point, we'll post more on the NLOC website as soon as the dates are set.

Sorry it is going to be an honest effort, I'm sure BUT this is not going to settled anything and is going to cost alot of money and time.
All it is going to take is for you to say PSP is the best chip and I blow away some Lightning with my SuperChip. or vice versa.
The proof is in long standing competition, not isolated test and even tho I run a SuperChip, I go by what happen at WFC looks like PSP has the upper hand for the most part. My 2 cents. I'll read the results like I read the political polls, with a grain of salt.

I think Inject Tech would be intrested, I'll ask Jerry tomorrow.

Right now we have Danny Swanson, Power Surge, the guys at Sean Hyland, and another in the works (don't have it nailed down yet). I was hoping to hear from SuperChips, but no responses. JohnnyL, want to get your contact at SuperChips in touch with me?

I have contacted Inject Tech. Believe me, I don't want anyone left out.
Dorgunr, wasn't it you who wanted just such a comparison not too long ago? I seem to recall you calling for someone to post REAL numbers for each of the different chip manufacturers. Well, we're going to do just that. And it will most definitely settle what each company's chip will do on the same stock truck, on the same dyno, on the same day. You can draw whatever conclusions you want to beyond that.
We'll also be running the chips on the track and doing some drivability testing - including towing - with them. You'll get all the skinny.

Inject Tech is in, Superchips is in. So, at this point in the game, everyone who makes a chip for the Gen 2 Lightning is going to be involved.

Jeff told me today I'll be the one to do the drivability, towing and track testing. He and I will both be in attendance for the dyno testing armed with a video camera. We're going to get this happening ASAP. I can't wait! Our updates will be posted on the NLOC website and in the newsletter.
