Post Coming Soon to a Theatre Near You

This has nothing much to do with the board or the forum, but since many of you are friends and occasional customers, I thought it might be of interest to pass on.

Yesterday, after 1 year and 8 days of negotiations, Pat and I got a signed lease on a former AMC Theatre 8 screen location in our shopping center. We will move from a 9,000 sq.ft. location to a 30,200 sq.ft. location which may possibly be the largest exclusively hobby type store in the nation.

We are retaining to the furthest extent possible the Art Deco/Egyptian motif of the original building. Lot's of neon, cove lighting and carpeted walls.

We will have an indoor carpet track for RC car racing, slot car tracks for that type of racing, meeting rooms and demonstration areas for all kinds of neat stuff like air brushes, metal detectors, Dremel tools and that sort of thing.

For Pat and I, at age 60, it is a dream come true. If you are ever in the Atlanta area after more or less the first week in November we would be glad to show you a really neat store and a really good time.

Hopefully, this will not come off as a commercial, we are just really excited at finally having pulled this deal off. It was a very long and difficult journey.

BTW, Moby is almost at 10K miles and is about to make two towing trips to pick up a trailer load of store fixtures. One in Tampa and one in Las Vegas. Thank goodness for Chips/Exhaust Systems and Intake systems.
Gotta be the fastest tow truck on the planet.
Bill

I wish you success in your new venture. My only regret about having my boat shipped instead of towing it myself is that I didn't get a chance to meet you and some of the other L. owners along the way. Hope we have a chance to hook up in the future some time. Hope you make a bundle.
