Unhappy Foul Odor from AC

Well guys it been a while since I have posted. The Lightning is running great especially since the installation of the 6lber I have have a problem though, whenevr I turn on the AC ther is a foul odor coming out of the vents. It lasts about 3-5 minutes then it goes.

I think that the only thing should cause this is that I may be low on freon. Any other ideas? If it is freon what type do our L's use?

Check to make sure the water drain is not clogged or blocked and some water is laying in the the ac box!! the smell may be from moisture or the traped water. Artie

Or it may just be a little TRAPPED WIND

On a sensible note I had that with my BMW.
When it was given a full valet the guys cleaned something on the AC and it's morning fresh now

Wink

well if the system is low on charge, or freon, you would not get an odor.like suggested if the drain is cloged some nasty stuff could start growing in the exaporator pan. but just for future ref. all newer cars use r-134a for refrigerant
