Okay..this can't be good!!!!!

well all of a sudden i seem to have aquired two new noises and they are by no means good.
the first one is a really loud howl coming from the intake pipe that comes and go's and when this occurs the truck drops rpm and struggles to run
the second one sounds like i have a rock tumbler underneath the truck and only happens when i put the truck in gear.
oddly the truck still runs strong despite these issues... and no i have not gotten any codes as of yet
if anyone has encountered these problems or has any idea what i'm dealing with ,by all means let me know whats up...thanx

Well the intake howl is prolly your IAC. Try flushing it out with brake cleaner.

The rock crusher... You don't have a muncie do you? (kidding) I'd check for exhaust system hitting something.

man i sure hope it's not the tq conv. i busted my *** to put that thing in(it's a PI converter) well if it is at least i still have the stock one.
does anyone know if the PI converters have problems ,mine is maybe 2 1/2-3 yrs old and not alot of track time ,mostly street driven. what should i pay attention to as far as the converter...slipping ,not locking up at intended rpm?

Do you ever run leaded race fuel??

If so your cats are comming apart inside, also the PI T/C can make some noise.

Welcome to the club.

Stock convertor, 22k miles.

Every time I come to a stop light, i just put it in Neutral. Everyone usually looks at the truck because it's an eye catcher. Now everyone looks because it sounds like something is gonna fall from underneath it.

Haven't had the ambition to even put it on the lift. I'm just sick of modifying and fixing it.

O KAY THAT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN!!! as i was saying i pulled the IAC and the thing is clean as new so... here is a question, can the IAC work and then not work or will it just go bad . the reason i ask is because the intake noise will come and go.

hey don, when you say the PI T/C can make some noise just how much noise are we talking about. once i start to drive it shuts up and drives normally . is this kinda what you are talking about?
as far as fuel ,the highest i ever put in it was 100 , and i rarely use it unless i'm down the track and thats not all to often
