Well after reading everyone's posts and replies about the L, I finnally got one. After almost a weeks worth of negotiations I picked mine up on sat. To anyone who is even remotely thinking about getting one, i have 2 words for you. Get it! Anyway just want to join the crowd an thank you for all the post about how much you love the truck. Also let me know about any due's for this board so that i can send them off!!!!!

Congratualtions! And Welcome. I got mine a little over a month ago and can't stop driving it. It just gets better and better.

Believe me, I have filled up once already. The dealer did put the crapy grade of gas in it though. I think something close to 87 octane. Have to see hw much better it runs with the 93 in it. Just cannot be too hard on it for now. Still breaking it in. But so far this truck is sweet

Well, after changing ISP's and not having my account I just lurked for the past 7 months, but now I am BACK. And back with a vengance, I just had a Silver 00 Lightning set aside at one of the local dealers. I pick it up this Saturday, have not even seen it yet. Tradin' in my '99 (see sig) was a hassle as it was a lease and some of the dealers tried to low-ball me on the trade in price. But another dealer went to the wall and got me what I wanted. Paid MSRP for the 'Bolt, no one in town with any left is going below sticker, oh well I HAVE A LIGHTNING!!!!!!!!!!

Just picked up my 00 Silver Lightning at 11:00 am this morning. What a rush! I have been reading all the Lightning post's for a long time and thought I knew what to expect, but WOW! It can't be legal to have this much fun in a Truck! I chuckled when people claimed to have problems like not being able to stop grinning, but my face is sore 'cause I have not stopped since 11:00 this morning. Jeeze, I missed out on a whole year of this feeling because I whimped out last year.
