Red face Intercooler leak ATT: PFA

I live in Cincinnati and my dealers down here have not seen this intercooler problem. I read one of your posts where it said you took your L to Village Ford. I made an appointment and am bringing it north this weekend. Could you please e-mail me or respond to this post. Who was the service tech who worked on it? What was the final diagnosis? Is yours working properly now? I'd appreciate all the info you could provide. Thanks. If anybody else has any info regarding Village Ford and their solutions to the problem I would greatly appreciate a response. Thanks again.

I did get mine done at Village Ford. From what I understand the tech. that worked on it no longer works there and neither does the service writer. The service manager knows exactly what is going on. I can't remember his name though. I know of at least two others that have had them done there, one of which is on this board, DH Ferguson. The final decision was to change the entire upper-lower manifold, intercooler, and blower as one whole assembly. They initially put a dye in the intercooler and run it a while and check to see if it is getting onto the plugs. Then they make the decision to make the change. Hopefully, or maybe you can call and talk to the shop foreman, and have the parts ordered ahead of time.
Good luck!
