Should I install torque coverter myself...

Well the transmission shop quoted me $600 to install torque converter and valve body for my lightning and as of now I am pretty broke since I just ordered $4000 worth of parts which will be here Friday. My question is do you have a suggestion on wheather I should wait to save some money or go ahead and atempt to install the parts, I have read alot about the installs and I have seen that other people have succesfully completed this install while on there back ( which is where I will be while installing, no lift)...thanks for the help
P.S. this is my first time doing transmission mods but I will have three handy friends with me and I have read every horror story on the TC install, not being in the right place....

It's not technically difficult to do this, just bulky and hard to lift. Grab a friend and you can do it in one evening.

Can it be done, yes, is it fun, no, as a driveway job it's a drag, an additional jack helps and does an extra set of hands. T
