I have heard the performance gains are marginal at best. The seat of the pants feel improvement is barely there. As for quality, fit and finnish, its top of the line. These are things I have heard, since I do not have $1700 lying around to get one.

Just my opinion...coated headers are nice, don't expect any h.p. gains..My truck sounds like a diesel with a concert mike next to it. Converters have come apart on the inside. Waiting for replacements. It is bad enough I have to pay labor to have there sh**** converters replaced, but they charge me a core charge until they get the old ones back. I have to store these until I get a UPS pick up, whenever that will happen. I'll keep you updated, right now, just a lot... peeved

Cool

I love my Bassani full kit, would not change a thing.

I think it's a big part of my 12-second @ 107+ mph passes.

I just got the 4 program chip from Sal,
ROAD TEST!!! Nothing sound's like a S/C L at 4-4500 rpm cruise with Bassani's

Does anyone know where I can get a 160/170 speedo, that look's stock?

I have not seen any improvement over stock, besides the awesome sound that the system has.

Reality1,
I think that my cats are acting up. Did you notice anything before they acted up? I'm noticing a slight bogging at highway speeds. I also notice that the passanger side has been getting hotter than it should.

I second that JIGAWATT, I 15 y.o kid thinks his mom new Cougar can take my truck because her speedo goes to 160! I told him to get his mom to see whazzup. He then ask for a ride, I told him hes not worthy. Ohwell, I'll keep my eyes open for it.

Spiro and Jigwatt check out your cat heat-shield. Mine also had a rattle sound that at first I concluded was the cat coming apart inside. Turns out it was just the heat shields coming lose. I had to re-weld both sides on both cats and no more zzzz zzzz noises at 2k-2.5k rpm.

hope this helps.

btw...don't expect any huge power gains (I got 8rwhp), but it does sound good. However at 1500 bucks for the exhuast and another 400-500 for install I would consider spending my money elsewhere. Just think I could have those chrome rims I wanted .

oh well....it still sounds good

Question

Every thing looks OK, I have no rattle/zzzzz sounds.
I will keep a ear out for some thing funny. I bought my kit back in Nov.99.
I think my cats are made by catco and not Bassani. Are your cats made by Bassani?

Yes, I would not start with this mod as #1. This was about #4 or #5. As for me the only "bolt-on" mod left is N2O. I have a chip for it now, just gotta do it

Not sure who makes the cats on mine...as soon as I get my truck back for the intercooler leak fix I will check it out.

Spiro,
No warning, at least not that I noticed. Left the strip, heard some weird noises that seemed to go away when I hit the highway.
When I got out of truck it was loud, thought it was heat shield at first but it was the converters. Now I have some surging, about half power.
Makes me a little nervous because I had a Corvette once that got converter hot enough to explode.
