Thumbs up Calling Mb92gt99gt99light..

I noticed you have a Houston Performance chip. How do you like it? Is Houston Performance a pretty good place? Would you go there again?

I'm thinking of letting them do some work on my L (mass air, chip, and maybe others) and I just want to make sure that I (as well as my L) will be taken care of. Any info is appreciated.

Hey Duck01, I have an appointment with Houston Performance (H.P.) on the 15th for a Pro-M 80 install. They have to do a reburn on my PSP chip for this and said that the last PSP reburn they did they got an extra 8rwhp and 12rwt out of it. I am happy with my PSP chip and its performance dont get me wrong, but if they can get more power for me, I am all for that. I know H.P. has chipped and tuned several L's with a best of 385rwhp with the basic 3 mods. As far as Mb92gt99gt99light goes, I think he has 360rwhp and best time of 13.5 if I can remember correctly. With full Bassanni, Pro-m, and H.P. chip as only mods. I didnt do a search so correct me if those numbers are wrong, but I think thats right. At the next Halo meet I can give you my own personal results. Later!

Al has used them and was very happy with the way they handled him. Also Kyle with House of Speed know Steve the owner very well. Try emailing him with your questions.

Thanks for the info y'all. I plan on coming up with enough money to get all my mods done at once. This way, it is only one BIG check instead of several big checks and it won't hurt so bad. I'm hoping to have enough money to do this by early in the Fall semester, so I'm trying to sort out the details now.

Duck101,
The chip is awesome...it drasticatly improved my L's performance from a 13.8 bone stock to a 13.39 with it and just a replacement k&n filter...on stock tires. I added the pro-m 80mm MAF and full bassani and went 13.16@103.8 again on stock goodyear f1's and I was fully loaded (4813 that night). I highley recommend Steve and Michael at Houston Performance. I honestly believe you will not meet a nicer guy and they won't try to push you into something you don't want.

Caka,
Actually my truck dyno'd 378rwhp and 442rwtq with the bassani, pro-m, and chip.

All,
last time I talked to Steve he was working on a set of ported heads and custom cams as well...so if you got the money.....

Good luck and I think you will be pleased.

A 13.16! SOB! Yeah, I'll definately go see 'em. Plus, from what it looks like, you're running a 3.55. Any thoughts on changing out your a$$ end?

I have been considering doing the gear swap to 4.10's, but right now I am driving about 75 miles+ per day. Perhaps once I get transferred to our corporate office and I move across town I will do it. Also, I bought the lightning to tow a street bandit car that is under construction right now. Which means most of my extra cash is being funneled into it.

Let me know when you go up there I might try and swing by to watch your truck on the dyno.

Mike,

Going to corporate office..... does that mean your position in Baytown will be open?
