Thumbs up SS CAM KILL (FLA)

Just wanted to report that even in the sweltering heat (95 on the Console) and humidity of FLORIDA that the Lightnings are still runnig strong. Cruising home on US301 in Bradenton and MR. SS pulls up behind me bobbin' and weavin' but the old guy in front of me, (they are like mosquitos, they are always bothering me) in his Buick wasn't going but 40 in a 50.so I waited for a clearing and pulled over and continued the speed i was going. Then as he changed lanes and got next to me, he hit his pedal I hit the floor! Just kept pullin' away and away and away. The next light. He didn't know what hit him. BANG like a bolt out of the sky during a down pour, I was gone again. Saw nothing but orange and white in the rear view.

Has anyone heard of a company making a bolt on "AIRPLANE WING" up-grade. I am planning on a trip this summer and like to fly but can't be away from my L. Two birds with one stone.

See all of you FLA L owners on Aug 5th

Thumbs up

Good job Brandon.

I did the same thing the other night to a white Camero. Rolling at 60. He punches, I punch it. I catch him real quick. I pull ahead about 4 truck lengths and back off after I show him what the L is capable of doing. We both turn into my subdivision. He pulls beside me, rolls down his window and says "what the he?? kind of truck is that?" He then compliments the L on it's speed abilities, waves and pulls away as I turn onto my street. Nice guy, nice kill.

Alright you two trouble makers Nice kills. It's fun to see the looks on peoples faces when the L does its thing.

Toyman - I checked out the web site you told me about. Interesting. Be sure to let me know when you hear more on the two gauge pillar replacement.

true Peter,

but I know you guys in southern AZ don't have the humidity that we in TX and FLA do. I'm not saying the air there is any better for engine performance, but 95^, 70% hum., and 29.00" baro pressure stinks.

Cool

True, true.
They always say "oh it's not so bad, it's a dry heat". And to that I tell people, yes, but so is my oven, but you don't see me comfotable in there.

Hahaha...that's a good one.

I doubt I'd enjoy the AZ heat any more than what we have here in N. TX. Actually, since I've lived here all my life, I'm used to it. That doesn't mean my vehicles like it though.

When the hot month of August rolls around, The temps at the track should be in the high-mid fifties. It hardly rains, too so baromentric must be higher, and no rain = low humidity. I can't complain.

Last year, the track was open in October! If I remember right one day it was only 15 degrees out, and not a cloud in the sky! My bolt only had 70 miles so I did not go.
