Tire Spray
Hey,
I read a post some time ago about some dude that pulled up on some one at a stop light and noticed him roll back then forward. When the light finnally changed, he promptly got spanked. During the 'someone got wupped' conversation, the winner tells the loser all about his unique tire spray conraption.
That is all I know. Anyone have any ideas on what we could spray (if any) on the stock tires before we line up at the tree? If I had a decent 60' time I would be in the mid 13's. This would also be certainly cheaper than buying drag radials, not to mention changing tires...
Thanks in advance.

Yeah Noel. We "engineer" it in our "engineering department." It is a goo that keeps the left rear modulater modulating while the right rear spin clutch keeps on spinning. All in all, it puts your 60' times as low as possible without discombobulating the discombobulator. It works like a champ!

Seriously... I think Tundra is talking about VHT.
I believe they spray that at the starting line / burn out area of some drag strips... it makes the rubber stickier... meaning the rubber on the ground stick to your tires.
But I have heard of people applying the liquid directly to their tires instead.
Anyway, goto www.google.com and enter:
VHT sticky tires
you'll get a bunch of hits.

As or you other three... Humility is a two way street. Its all good fun
Its an idea, some work, some do not, some sound crazier than others, but sometimes they work, there's only one way to find out... Just thought I would do my part.

Me thinks if they caught ya spraying unknown substances on their track the race will be to the gate.

The funny thing is back in 1967, Cheverolet had that tire spray contraption on their Camaros. What it was intended to be used for was if you drove in the snow...you would be able to apply a traction aid when things got slippery. At the races...racers would actually have VHT in that contraption and spray the tires for more traction...I wouldn't mind having that contraption in my L.
