Help me decide

Hey guys, I have an 06 Stage 1 Roush F-150, but to be honest, I'm not entirely happy with the performance of it and I also have always loved the 98-03 body style lightning's and harley's. And I found 2 lightnings at my dealership. So I'm coming to you guys for some opinions, which would YOU rather have,

This:

or this:

Thanks

Personally I like the looks of the Roush better. It took me a while but the look finally grew on me. I would think with a little bit of work/mods you could be more than happy with the Roush....

I like the Roush.....looks good and probably has a good warranty.

They are two different trucks really......if you want to be able to have more than one passenger and are not so worried about ***** out speed, then stay with the Roush.
I personally like the body style of the Lightning....not the new style that Ford went too........it seems generic to me.

Nice truck tho...

Kind of a dumb question to be asking in a Lightning forum, we are all partial to our trucks.

That being said I am not a big fan of the Roush though because it doesn't look like a performance truck at all when you take off the decals. I don't understand how ford can put the Roush name on a vehicle that also has offroad tires and a decal that says "FX4 Offroad"

....and who put those horrible rims on the white L behind the silver one

Honestly its all in what you need/want more.

I had a 2002 Ram 1500 Quad Cab, with bigger tires and the 20" rims, flowmasters, it was a beast of a truck, but it guzzled gas and was not fast. Just loud and big.

Ive wanted an L for over 6 years and about 4 months ago I finally found one that fit my budget and a hellova deal.

If you need the interior space for kids/family and need 4wd for winter, if you need higher ground clearance for hill-y roads and such, stick with the ROUSH

I'm from NJ and i am currently at school in WV which is nothing but steep roads and potholes, and pretty bad winters, but i bit the bullet and got the L without looking back.

I forget all about the ram once i press the GO pedal in the L and roast just about anything that challenges me on the street, and im close to stock also.

Best of luck with the decision

looks like good ole' All American Ford in Hackensack.. they are thieves as dealers..i would never buy anything from them.. ever!!! you can go to Paramus Ford on Rt.17.. ask for Shimone.. All American owns Paramus Ford.. but Shimone will hook you up and tell you all he knows about that truck and what he can and cannot do for you.. tell him Rich with the Lightning sent you..

Well my truck is up on ebay now. You guys think that I'm better off selling on E-bay other then trading it in at a dealership? (probably paramus )

Alright guys, I've decided that I'm definetly getting the lightning. My only question now is, which one. I had a deal lined up with the silver one, but I'm starting to realize that getting the red one through the dealer would be much easier then going through ebay with the silver, and I might even like the red a little better. But the silver only has 170 miles. What do you guys think I should get?

04 Silver 170 miles:

03 Red 19000 miles:

They are both good choices. Whats your color is the question. I personally would get the red one since its a true hot rod color and more aggressive looking. Its your call though. Good luck....

Silver. My Black L is a cop magnet, I hate to imagine what red would be like. If it's your daily driver, silver will hide any mishaps. Unfortuneatly no matter how **** you may be about your vehicle, there will always be inconsiderate a**holes who don't give a damn about o.p.p.

The plus side with the red will be less hassle to aquire.

You will get more money for your truck if you sell it yourself. I would go for a stock low mileage 03-04 L. If you need more speed then mod it yourself.
