Need some advice...

Hey guys, I'm a 17 year old looking for some advice. I got a 2006 Roush Stage 1 F-150 about 8 months ago, and although I like the truck as a whole, I'm pretty disappointed about the performance, so I'm now thinking of getting a Lightning. Now here's the tricky part. I live in NJ, and this will have to be used all year round in the snow and everything. I also go skiing in Vermont every weekend during the winter. My Roush is a 4x4 so it wasn't an issue, but I think with the Lightning it may be. So my main question is, would I be able to use this in the snow while driving up to Vermont or no? Also, would an older harley be any better?

Thanks

Haha. I've actually had a condo up there for the past 10 years so I'm not new to VT. You really have no problems? A lot of people told me that I would have problems but all of them live in Florida or something and are just assuming I think. Thanks for the help evo.

I went to school in Southern PA and traveled to New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and West Virginia. I drove during the winter months on toyo's with half tread and had no problems, only time I had a close call was a steep down hill S-turn outside of morgantown wv.

So you bought a condo when you were 7

You really have to drive for the conditions.

No whipple on stage one?

Here's a partial pic of wheel and tire combo. I live in Shelburne South of Burlington.

I've always loved the Lightning's and Harley's, but 8 months ago I couldn't find aany with this mileage (160 miles), and I preferred a new truck so I got the Roush. I came to realize that the new body style is too heavy and big.

A got a set of winter rims mounted with snow tires on some Navigator rims for sale if your interested.

And i drove all winter long last year with my truck in Jersey. No big deal. Just stay off the boost, and you'll have no problems.
