You need to pick who will do your tune. That will probably determine the flashtuner you go with. If the tuner supports both then...it boils-down to personal choice.

Something else to consider, you could probably get a used KB, new pumps and injectors for not much more $ than the exhaust upgrades you've listed. While the exhaust will sound better, there's not much hp gain. If I had it to do over again I'd do the blower/fuel/tune upgrades first then add the supporting mods as I turned-up the boost.

Looks like you have a pretty nice package to start with. Plus, the best thing you can do is stay away from JDM.
You have a few more pounds of boost that you can throw at it before you start finding the weak components of the bottom end (16psi max on a good tune). I would definitely invest in a set of Hoosiers on light weight wheels, yank the front sway bar, add a loop and add some traction bars. Ironically, the Lakewoods will work just fine and allow the truck to properly launch. Before going to the track, have a tuner dial in the truck for you.
I would go for a built motor, but not sure who to reccomend for that

You will never get a definitive answer to this question.

Any reputable tuner can give you a "safe" tune. You just need to be completely clear that you want a conservative tune and are willing to sacrifice some performance for the sake of safety. And then don't come back here and ask why X tuner's tune only gave you XXX HP, when everyone else is making more. Quick or safe -- pick one.

Tim great point.. PSP tuned my truck far from conservative because i wanted a goal of making 500hp to the tires with a stock blower and stock engine.. Sal tuned my truck with excellence and i couldnt be happier.. 500hp/600tq to the tires is a great achievment on stock engines, im running this tune and setup well over a year now and not one problem with my setup.. both PSP and JLP are great tuners.. Sal always takes care of me and his service and friendship towards me is great.. your choice on what to do, what chip or programmer are you looking to use?? Sal does both, and Johnny is just getting started with the SCT software.. good luck with your ride

None of that.

Kenne Bell, Bigger Injectors, Pumps, Mafia, 4 or 6# Lower, FTVB, Traction Bars & Cats, you will be set!

Don't get me wrong, dynatech are great LT headers, I have them, but if I had to do it all over again, I would go the KB Route!
