Hey guys, im getting a system together for my 03 lightning and could use a nudge in the right direction. As it stands I already have a pioneer 7800 installed w/ the infinity kappa perfects 6.1's going into the doors as soon as they arrive. Now here is where im stuck, for the bass i intend to either go with a single 10" idq in qlogic truck box with(easiest solution)-or- a thunderform if i can ever find suitable replacement subs shallow enough to fit( possibly image dynamics idq10's or 10w3v3's) -or- the dual 10" probox(im worried about losing leg room). My goals for the system are for it to be simple, clean, and balanced(not looking to win any spl contest or attract the wrong kind of attention) my last vehicle was all bass and treble...sounded like poop, so i made it a point to get help this time around. Also if it is not too much trouble, How big of an amp can fit under the drivers seat?

 

a big hell no to teh qlogic and thunderform. both are horrible.

im not a JL fan, and i believe the w3v3 will be deeper than the ID. id just recommend an ID v3 in a sealed or slot ported. your max dimensions are approx 12.5H, 48Wide, 5 in deep on top, 8 in deep on bottom. should give you plenty to work wtih.

ive built my monster box for my resonant SE12, 1.2 cubes in a reg cab and regrettably ive lost a few clicks on my passenger seat lol. im cutting my seats into buckets and making a console box and i recommend that route as well if youre looking to keep storage space behind your seat
