WTF is wrong with my truck?!?!
WTF is wrong with my truck?!?!
thought it was the headlight module, the $105 peice from ford that has the **** and wheel on it that was messed up and kicking my autolamps on when it was in the garage or in the dark outside.
picked up my BRAND new headlight module this morning from a local ford dealer, hooked it up, now im at work and someone tells me my lights are on (its dark) and the **** is in the OFF position.
Now im pissed because i just wasted $105.
Anyone know what could be wrong????
P.S. where do they get some of these idiots working for ford?? I pick up my module from the guy in parts department and he says to me "well now you'll have something to take up the weekend" but he was dead serious, then i told him it takes 2 seconds to install and he kinda looked down in shame.

I know, stupid question, but did you check ALL the fuses, do you use the trailer light harness? If you have bad wiring on a trailer and plug it in the truck, it will blow fuses in the truck! Check all the "lights" wiring and see if there are any crossed, pinched, melted wires that could be feeding back to the switch and keeping the headlights on. Just tryin to help!

Thank you. I will look into in the a.m.
The trailer lights have their on fuse. Are the parking lights and the head light or just the parking or head lights coming on?
You may want to pull the switch back out and see it that kills the lights. You may want to pull the auto lamp relay out and switch it with a new one or a different one from under the hood.

if the fuses are blown, how would the lights work? My truck's lights come on all the time, bright and sunny out, with the auto lamp feature. What makes this happen? I am using a trailer, and all the lights are hooked up correctly and workingproperly. thanks in advance.
