I am going to start this now. Lets have a Lightning and or svt at the Tail of the Dragon on Oct 6 - 8 2006. For those who do not know The Dragon is a 11 mile length of road with 318 turns. It is outside of Pigeon Forge TN. Let me know guys and I will find a host hotel and some things for us to do over that weekend.

a few people on nloc have stayed here and liked it. very close to the dragon. let me know if are going and i will see if the prices on the link can change alittle if we get a few rooms.

 

Looks like a nice place. I notice that Smokey Mtn. Bike Week is scheduled for that same week. They'll be tons of bikes ridin' the Dragon, that's for sure. Are you bringing your bike?

 

silverback, did you see much interest in folks making it an official "Meet"? seems like i saw this posted elsewhere. really want to go down and make the run. wish i had done it before i sold my bike. probably won't be able to make it this oct due to newborn, work, and trying to make all the points races at my local strip. maybe later in the year. when is peak fall foliage season round that way, usually? i'm about 4 hrs east and very clost to BR Parkway.

 

yea i have posted on svtperf.,nloc, and here and it seems like about 6-8 want to go. i did not know that bike week is at the same time i just picked that weekend. i may post this on the other forums to see if anyone wants to do it later that month. i would to turn this into a offical thing and 1-2 a year.

 

may be moving to oct 27-29. unless anyone would like a diff. date.

 

how many think they can really make it? if i get a idea on how many rooms we will need i can see if the hotel can give me a x amount for each room.
