Anybody in N. California that has an Airaid installed?

Need help getting the kit installed in my truck.

Installed one about 2 months ago. Had to trim the entire top to allow for hood clearance. Added a bracket for rigidity. Added a mount to the other end of the filter as it's a lot of weight with just the clamp holding it up. My past experience with this type of filter mounting is that it will eventually tear. Work in San Jose, live in Pleasanton.

I had mine put on in So. Calif. Sorry, you do not live near.

What I am posting about is mine was installed in about 20 minutes. It fit perfectly without triming the top.

I am running the 10" Big Mouth filter without putting on a bracket. The filter hangs perfectly. (I am still waiting for the chrome filter on back order)

I do remember some discussion about some of the first ones for the 00 needing to be trimed a little. I put mine in in May and didn't have any problems.
