Help identifying a L engine?

Here's a pic of my replacement engine.

I got it from Kar Kraft. It was described as a "low mileage take-out 2002 L engine. Is there a web site that will give me the identity with that decal info? I'm concerned by what looks to be a 2001 date on that sticker but I d/k if that's what the "03-07-01" means..................

An 02 could have an engine that was built in 01 especially if the build date of the truck was 01 or early 02. I would not be concerned.
My 01 truck was built in June 2000.

That same exact tag on my '01 engine says 03-31-00 - the build date on my truck was 08-07-2001.

It's probably an engine from an 02 that was built early in the year..hence the 01 engine build date.

That's most likely an 01 motor. It wouldn't be in an 02 with a build date of March 01, that's a little too early I think.

But it's not like it matters, it's the same engine in 01 and 02.

Oh, I didn't take it that way . I know what you do for a living, and you'd know better than I would.

Thanks to both of you; Sal and Raider! I feel much better now as I wondered if KKE had lied to me. I know that 01 and 02s are basically the same engines but I was told it was an 02 .

Thanks everyone for your replies .
