does anyone want me to post them in here? or will someone complain that it isnt a lightning.. (the salesman told me that the harley truck is the same thing as the lightning! NOT!!)

no, they didnt start it... i did want to look under the hood though..
but after the salesman told me the H-D was the same as a lightning, i got sick to my stomach & had to leave...

Ok, I have some questions: A fellow L owner told me that Ford will be selling the Hard Toneau cover that comes on the "Harley F-150",is this a true rumor? Will the cover even fit?
And what size are the tires/rims on that beast?

It is fitting that in keeping with the tradition that these motor cycles are all dogs, that the Harley truck with a standard 5.4 is a dog also.

hitman31 - the H-D i looked at didnt have a hard tonneau cover.. just a harley bedmat (the second pic)
if i were the ford place, i'd hide that mat, 'cause, it'd look good in the back of my dads truck.

silver bullet - i told him VERY quickly that he didnt know the first thing about lightnings or H-D F150's... in front of other customers..
salesmen will lie just to get you to buy something..

noelvm - i wonder if they put some oil leaks on the F150? so it would be like the harleys?
maybe thats what the bed mat is for.. for the leaking scooters...

The flareside bed is a standard unit for extended cab or standard cab. If Ford is selling the hard tonneau for the H-D, then it will fit an L.

 

I live in Ga and the Atlanta paper a couple days ago reported on the Harleys.Said they are being shipped without the tonneau because of paint problems.The paint wasn't sticking very well.They said buyers would be given Harley jackets and could buy the cover later at a reduced price. They said Ford would not disclose the manufacturers name.

 

I figured the cover would fit(size being standard and all),but I was unsure if they were going to sell it.So now they ARE going to sell it but the paint doesn't take eh? Discounted price eh? Hmmmmm. Who knows?
I liked the look of the cover on all the press releases I saw and when I heard it maybe sold I began to wonder how much Ford would rake us over the coals for it?

I guess I'll just wait and see.
