Thumbs up KILLER custom exhaust!! (w/pics)

I had my custom 3" dual exhaust installed this weekend. What a difference between a high performance muffler shop and your local "muffler guy." Here are some pics:

1) This was my original exhaust, a single 3 chamber flowmaster, WAY TOO RESTRICTIVE, we took it apart and the sucker was toasted after less than a year.

2) This is the new 3" dual exhaust (2-chamber flowmasters, mandrel tubing), the computer seems to love it, the ***-O-Meter says MORE POWER all the way around! And it actually sounds like a Flowmaster now!

3)The custom X-chamber, made from 5" pipe, seems to be doing a great job of giving both low and high range power.

4) We also tried the Dynomax race series, they look nice but the Flowmasters sound a lot better.

Sorry for taking up so much space, but I love this new exhaust, I couldn't stop driving around all weekend! First kill was a souped up Ram, taught an M3 not to cut me off, can't remember the rest...

Nice system Mike, just a couple of questions tho. 1st Are you still running cats?
2nd Have you done any other mods to the exaust beside and X-pipe and mufflers?
3rd If you are not running cats are you passing emmisions?

Hey guys, thanks for the compliments! It is truly a professional install, you could almost do pull-ups from it - and man does it sound like a hot rod coming down the street.

I don't know the part # for the mufflers but they are the 3" 2 chamber Flowmasters.

For all you guys in So. Cal - you have to talk to Jose, he does some serious high performance work for a lot of the pro-street cars and professional race teams. He is also coming out with an adjustable flow/backpressure system. Call him at (714) 543-5992 and tell him Mike referred you.

Burninout,

I'm running the stock cats, besides the cat-back system I also have JBA headers. If I had more money to spare I would probably go for either Bassani or long tube headers, but I don't know about the risk vs. benefit of replacing or removing the cats.
