Arrow control arm problem?

hello everyone my first time on the lightning board. anyway i put a deposit saturday on a 2000 l in red. first i must say that i now understand why the performance times of the lightnings vary so much. i test drove 3 lightnings white, red and black. to my amazement they all ran differently. red was the strong runner thats why i went with that l. does the clunk problem that everyone is talking about include all lightnings or was it just some that had wrong control arms installed. is the problem the control arm or do all lightnings have the same arm with the oval hole. if it was only a batch problem how can i find out if my new l will be affected. build date was sometime in 3/00. thanks glad to be on board.
