Chrome vs. Polished Aluminum Wheels?

I know polished aluminum is harder to keep clean, but is it as shiny/blingy as chrome?

People like polished because it has depth, chrome is flat. Polish kept clean is much nicer than chrome. Polished metal can also be fixed my yourself if it gets scratched, chrome needs to be replated.

What exactly do you mean by depth?

I believe he is referring to the over-all appearance. Polished wheels can be polished to a brilliant luster.

they have more depth because the surface of a polished wheel is generally smoother than a chrome wheel. i prefer polished to chrome. i have considered polishing my stock wheels, but i am saving that for a time when i want to punish myself severely, as polishing is no easy task.
