Tastes Like Z06 !!!
Forgot my video camera, < bummer > But my buddy
did manage to catch the action. I instructed in
another Phoeniz Prepared Z06, and I tell you that is
my next track car. Well sorted out and VERY well behaved.
For those of you unfamiliar with open-tracking, I overcooked the
track-out on turn #1 at Gingerman, and kicked the cone into the
center of the racetrack, turning the turn into a auto-cross. < grin >
I was so damned excited to get by the Z06 I forgot where I was.

Hey Cliff,
The C5 Z0-6 was a good car but the C6 Z0-6 is absolutely unbelievable. GM has done an amazing job with this car. Can't beat this combination of 3146lbs, 500hp and 427 small block at an amazing 65K.

Hi Cliff,
Long time no talk. You are an instructor now also? I was moved up to instructor in Jan. I have only had green and blue students and only one of them is any good at all! At least all my students are Vette drivers. If you remember I traded the L for a 05 Z51 6 speed. All I do at the track is change brake fluid, pads and run scuffs. The Vette is much less expensive to go fast in. In the L I was faster than most and it is special to outrun sportscars in a truck but in the Vette only a two or three of the best instructors are faster than I and I don't have to drive as hard as I did in the L. I am starting to wonder about going this fast without a cage and Hans device? I have a harness bar and harness but I'm starting to think about a track car because of the speeds I'm going these days!!

Oh man Cliff but those pics bring back some memories. I use to driver's school my 1991 Camaro Z281LE. Drove it at both Road Atlanta and at Roebling Road(track near Savanah, GA) back in the early 90s. 6-point roll-cage, Recaro Seat, 5-point harness, window net, no A/C, etc. etc.
