Exclamation Double blown L?

I dunno if you guys are familiar with Paxton Superchargers, but my neighbor is the Pres/CEO of the company, and I needed a summer job, so I've been working in his factory lately. Well, the other day, a new black Lightning came in to get Dyno'd. I asked one of the techs later about the L, and he said "Oh yeah, that guy comes in here a lot- all his trucks are blown. He wants to do a DUAL system on his lightning!" Now, if you guys know Paxton, you know that they are very high quality blowers, capable of putting out lots of boost. Add that to the Eaton roots blower, and I figure you have at least 450HP!

Hey Ando!
I hate to say this but run those two together and I am willing to bet that you will make less power than either one of them by themself. I sure would like to see someone try to do this.

Ando,

You ought to have your Pres/CEO friend design a supercharger for the 4 valve cylinder head that comes with the Navigator. Then have him send me a setup for uhhh, testing...

Never know, if its good enough, they might put it in future Lightnings.

If there is an intake that provides two chambers, one for each bank of cylinders, then use a blower for each bank. Using blowers in series is only effective if you have a low-pressure, high volume blower in the first stage, and then a higher-pressure blower in the second. I think the pressures will add to a certain point. After that point, the second stage won't handle the higher pressures efficiently enough to keep the necessary volume going.

An add for a new BMW caught my attention -- a 5.5 litre naturally-aspirated 400HP (!) 3-valve engine. Hmmm. Why are the Lightnings getting only 360HP with boost? Seems that there's some gold in them thar hills awaitin to be tapped!
