Post Killed a Harley, ran 2 more, lost to a cr#$chrocket

Yep, The first race was the funnest, I heard him, we were going down the road I throw a muffler-less rev, he looks over then gooses it, looks back and smiles. He then sees me pointing at a police officer on the other side of the street. Next light turns red, and Its pretty hard to turn around on that road so we chat and he says he's stock except for his exhaust, and he's running about 85 hp. He asks about my ride and I tell him the same thing except I got 360 hp! He says it oughtta be a close race. Light turns green, I launch pretty good, I cannot hear my tires spinning, due to my loud exhaust plus that of a really loud harley, both going WOT. I jump out ahead, and he disappears into my blind spot. 1-2 shift comes and goes and I am thinking this guy oughtta walk right by me, but he's still back there. 2-3 shift is coming up then I remember about that cop and decide I like my freedom and shut down. He shut down about the same time and goes into the right turn lane for the next light which is green. We exchange thumbs up, and after he turns, sure enough, there's that cop following behind him. I hope that guy didn't get pulled over.

Further down the road I see this cr#$ch rocket fly by me to get to a red light. I catch up and throw a rev, he smiles and says its on. I didn't talk to this young fellow, but I knew he would win this one. We take off, and I am out front to the 1-2 shift where he promptly flies by.

Even further down the road (same night, really), I see a couple of loud harleys being loud and kings of the street. We catch a light and it was loud, all three of us were revving and taunting each other. I am hyped becuase I just beat a harley earlier. Light goes green, and its neck and neck and neck. finnally around 45 they steadily start to pull away.

This was the first time I raced any kind of motorcycle. Man that was fun.

You are right those Harley's are not that fast. I have raced a couple of them and won every time. Some of those guys do put in cams and port the heads which makes them quicker, you may have run into a couple of those guys on your second run.
