Post Port Job Sounds????

Has anybody experienced the "Diesel Engine" noise the Eaton makes after you port it? The truck runs flawless and by that I mean like a raped ape , but I have had the supercharger put back on for about 2 weeks now and when in drive it sounds like a Diesel engine until I give it gas and then it goes away. No rough idling just the sound. Anybody got a clue?

Cavitation

Make sure the boost bypass is connected and working to avoid it.

i first noticed the rattle the first time i started it up after installing my 4# lower (stock s/c). when the six went on the rattle was still there but was quieter. when my steig ported eaton (a totally different s/c) with a six, went on, it got even quieter. the rattle is still there but not as loud as the stock eaton with a 4#er.

mine did the same thing for a few months after i installed a steig. stage 3 eaton. i could come to a stop at a red light and it would make the same noise you are talking about. then soon as i gave it gas to pull away it would stop. now my truck sounds like a stock eaton at idle and screams at wot.

That is exactly the case with mine, so far. I have a 4lb lower and I guess the sound will go away. I'm relieved that others have had the same happen to them. Thanks for the info guys.

Just completed the install of my ported (and polished) Stieg Eaton last weekend! First thing I noticed was how noisey the ported Eaton was compared to my stock one. At least "cavitation" drowns out the light "piston slap" upon cold start up!
And, it looks so much better it's worth the somewhat annoying racket!
