Old Problem--Finally getting fixed

Been long time since I've read much less posted here. My 2001 L had oil problems which degenerated into lower end noise nine months ago. Here's my last thread with some info.

I finally had my L towed to a SVT dealer here in Macon, Ga. Just went by there at lunch and saw four, highly scored rod bushings plus the scored crank journals. The mech said the bushings were 'welded' to the crank.

Made the decision to go with a long-block from Kar Kraft Engineering that Rob so kindly pointed me to. My engine has 92,000 miles on it and a new block at $2,595.00 plus labor makes more sence to me than repairing it.

I have a concern though and need y'all's feedback; for engines, KKE only accepts cashier's checks and money orders....in advance. What has been y'all's experience with them? Can I trust them to deliver the engine after receiving my cashier's check?

Forgive me for not being around since 10/05 but I was so depressed I couldn't face y'all. I messed up 'big time'. I just left the L in my garage and let it sit but I got off my lazy 'adze' and it's going to be running again.
