Anyone good with electonics?
Just picked up a thunderform with 2 mtx 10's and a JL amp from Hostile
Was going to get a flip out monitor and the lightning mount, but decided on horsepower first IF this is possible.
Can i wire the amp to the stock headunit so the subs play all the bass and i can set the speakers to be 90% treble?
Thanks in advance.

You can pick up a line out converter to get RCA cables to the amp if the amp doesn't have a high end input. If it does you can splice into the factory wires (I don't recommend) and run those wires to the high input on the amp. Then put a pair of bass blockers on the door speakers.
Overall not worth it. Just get a new head unit and do it right.

Todd, I have a Thunderform, installed an amp and have the stock head unit. I got a converter to convert the speaker wire like mentioned above. Mine is the LC-100. I also changed the front speakers and the rears are used as filler. It sounds really good. Here is a schematic of my install.
I would advise against keeping stock speakers ANYWHERE in the equation. "filler" is a popular option people choose, but in reality all it does it create two problems: a very definable and avoidable bottleneck in system quality, and it ruins any possibility of a front sound stage.
Especially in a Lightning you should only be running speakers in the front of the driver/passenger. Just get one set of speakers and plenty of power is perfect, if not ideal.
In your case, running just the fronts (even stock) with ALL of the power from the deck running to them would sound much better than running fronts and rears.
And as someone else mentioned you can get something commonly referred to as "bass killers" which are really capacitors very cheaply and run them inline with the speakers to filter much of the bass.
