Post 1st gen Lightning questions

WHat do these run stock? I take it they are reliable? ANy owners here? May be looking for one in the near future, not sure yet, because lacking a supercab kinda has me up in the air on it. Want nice Sport truck, can't afford a new lightning, the Ranger splashes are kinda Jokes, and I want a truck, I think.... One last thing, I was reading on truck trend trend and it said they had 17 inch rims, but I could swear they were 16s. So, which is it? Also, where there any differences in the model years 93, 94, or 95?
Thanks in advance.

Brian

Most trucks that are stock should run in the mid to high 14sec range, the rims are 17 inch on all models 93-95,as for the differences in the years there is not much just a few things if you wont to know all the differences go to HTTP://www.nloc.org

Thumbs up

Brian-
Your best bet would be to check out www.nloc.org Most of the posters over there are Gen. 1 owners, vs. a mostly Gen. 2 crowd here.

From what I know, a stock Gen. 1 will run in the mid to low 15's (about the same as a new Dakota R/T), but with a little work and $$$, you can really wake up the Windsor. However, I believe that they are pretty hard to find. The Gen 1s all have 17" rims, and there are only subtle differences between the 3 model years with no major performance or appearance changes.

Like I said, though, check out www.nloc.org and see what you can dig up over there. I know that most of them know a lot more about the Gen. 1s than me.
