Question Stock Air Box Modification

I did several searches and couldn’t find what I was looking for. Can someone please help me with this, I’m just looking for some information on the stock air box modification. Does anyone know where, how many, and what size holes to drill?

Thanks in advance,

Pete

Wow that is a huge cut out, does it make a big difference? Is there a middle of the road cut out modification? I only have the stock air box so it will be a year round use mod. My truck is 100% stock except for a K&N air filter and a Flowmaster Cat Back.

Thanks,

Pete

Thats alot of removed material, I did 4 2" holes in the bottom of the box, I just spaced them even and used a drill and a hole saw, it took all of 20 minutes including removal.
