i was 5 minutes from the end of the installation of my new JDM 6lb pully, sct 2 and air intake.I was trying to get the belt on when all of a sudden the idler pully snapped right off Pissed me right off. Is it usually that hard to get a belt on for a 6lb pully or did JDM send me the wrong belt?? First of all I had NO choice but to snap off the metal tab and then it was still a pain. I had like 1 MM to go when i felt the breaker bar go SNAP!!!. I was all happy until then....

i hate it when your anxious to finish something & then at the last moment something goes wrong. pisses me off too.

 

Sounds like the wrong size belt to me. That blows. But I am a little confused did you break the tensioner pulley or just one of the idler pulleys? Either way that had to be way to excessively tight to break one.
