Trans Question for Factory_Tech
What are the gear ratios in our transmissions? How many different ratios are there for the 4r100, if any? Thanks!

IM not factory tech, but the ratios are:
1st 2.72
2nd 1.54
3rd 1.0
4th .71 or .73 one or the other
This is the only ratios for the E4OD/4R100. You can take a C-6 gear set and put it in, I have not done it yet. most people go the other way(E4OD to C-6).
C-6 ratios:
1st 2.46
2nd 1.46
3rd 1.0

It's .71 in 4th, and I've heard about the C-6 gear swap, never seen it done but off the top of my head it would prolly work, or fit anywho, don't know what it would do to the OSS and computer. The C-6 and the 4R100 are very similar, and the 4R100 line in the plant is exactly where the C-6 line used to be.
