Post End of Model run for '00L's

Does anyone know when the '00 model production will end? Anxious to get the Certificate from SVT for my truck.

We have built the transmission serial number 4200, as of last week, so they have maybe 3 or 4 runs of them left ot build. I think a run for OTP is 150 -200 trucks, but I don't know how often they would run them. The rack that the transmission is shipped to OTP is returned within 48 hours of when it leaves our plant, typically.

I thought there were only supposed to be 4000 per year, I know that there could be some trannies that are going to be replaced, but an extra 1000?

Cool

They are scheduled to run 5,000 this year. Last year they built them 'til Aug or Sept. Certificates arrived in about Feb of this year.

The schedule for '00 is 4750 to be built, and we'll build 4800 transmissions, to cover repairs, service and in house usage. Transmissions are built in numbers divisible by 6, because the shipping racks hold six transmissions. (4R70 come 8 to a rack,so I guess they build them in 8s)

Yeah, but they only have 49 left. I got one of the extras already.

Going, going, ..........gone!

(By the way, I heard all '00s are to be built by June 30th. If I had had to wait this long..... well I just can't imagine!)

Thumbs up

WHAT04

I'll probably get razzed for this one, but here goes:

I ordered my '00 Silver L last November and was pretty patient to wait until I took a look at Silver_2000's ride. He was nice enough to demonstrate the abilities of his Silver Bolt.

But I cancelled my order (no comment on why since I'll probably get beat up) then found out the next week that the truck would come in June 15. You are not lying regarding the wait. Unfortunately, I still had to cancel, but would have had to wait, impatiently but gladly, for such a fine ride.

OK...All I'll say is that I decided to custom build another truck...YES, DEFINITELY AN F-150. It came in today, and I heard it's BeeYooTeeFull!!! Picking it up tomorrow.

Talking

Doug,

Thanks, man. You got it.

BTW: You had some pretty dry roads today to test your new mods. How'd it go? Did she fly?

My understanding is that if they need more than the 50 extra, they would be hand built from rack parts. I don't know, but that makes sense to me. It's also may be possible that you could (if need be) get a later model year in it, as the changes from year to year are sometimes very minor.

AirBurps,

Nothing wrong with changing your mind. We've all got our priorities. I'm pleased with my choice, hope you are too.

Good luck.

Cool

I am pleased with the chip and gears. The gears turned out to be more $$$$ than I planned.

The Truck pulls through the top a lot harder than it used to. And It shifts harder.

Its funny I am pissed that I cant spin the tires at will - But if I could It would suck to have to ease into the gas and to replace the tires quicker. I have heard a couple 2nd gear chirps though, those are fun.... REALLY anxious to see what it will do at the track. HOPE TO H3LL the rain stays away

Airbuprs - Hope you are enjoying your new truck. If the weather holds we expect to see you at Ennis Friday. I am thinking about going to Autocross at Pennington Field on Sunday as well. Seems only fair I smoke the Porsches Friday at Ennis and then they can embarrass me on Sunday.

Doug
